HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-11-7031ORDINANCE NO. 2005-11-7031 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WSF FLEET SERVICE FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PLUMBING AND PIPING REPLACEMENT FOR FIVE PUMPER TRUCKS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME WHEREAS, pursuant to Sec. 2-654(2) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the City Manager has made a written finding that applicable sources and supply are limited for plumbing and piping replacement for five pumper trucks; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department requested written bids by telephone on July 28, 2005; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department received 3 written bids and bid was awarded to the lowest bidder. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of WSF Fleet Service in the amount of $38,750.00, for plumbing and piping replacement for five pumper trucks in the Fire Department. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with WSF Fleet Service for furnishing the City with plumbing and piping replacement as authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to the Repairs/Upkeep Fleet Charges Account. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
