HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-12-7220ORDINANCE NO. 2006-12-7220 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH EMPLOYEE BENEFITS CLAIMS OF WISCONSIN (EBC) FOR ADMINISTRATION OF THE GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, ACCEPTING RENEWAL RATES FROM AGENCIES INCLUDED WITHIN THE HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah approves a contract with Employee Benefit Claims of Wisconsin (EBC), to provide health insurance third party administrative services effective January 1, 2007. SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah accepts renewal rates, negotiated annually, for services provided by Care Continuum, Merck Medco, and CenterCare partnered with EBC as part of the health insurance system and these rates are set out as follows: Description Basis Medical Admin. (EBC) $15.00 pepm Dental/Vision Admin. ($3.00 Dental & $.50 $3.50 pepm Vision) Merck Medco — Prescription Drug Carrier $.60/Rx CenterCare PPO (/Beechstreet — Out of Area Network --25% of savings, HDS--22.5% of savings + 2.5% EBC. Coalition America -2"d $4.75 pepm Out of Area Network --21% of savings + 9% EBC.) Utilization Review (CareContinuum) $2.75 pepm Included in claims EBC Online Fee (EBC) administration fee Claims Liaison Fee (EBC) $5,000.00 Hipaa Fee $.75 pepm EBC Healthier You $6.50 pepm AHH Auditing 35% of Savings 25% of Net Advana Recovery 181 IN SECTION 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents relating to same with EBC for services authorized in Section 1 above. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
