ORDINANCE NO. 2006-10-7194
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SAMSON INDUSTRIAL FOR
THE PURCHASE OF THERMAL IMAGING CAMERAS FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE
DEPARTMENT, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR SAID PROJECT, AND
r AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Samson Industrial in the
amount of $27,540.00 for purchase of four Thermal Imaging Cameras for the Paducah Fire
Department, said bid being in substantial compliance with specifications, advertisement for bid,
and as contained in the proposal of Samson Industrial of October 2, 2006.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Samson
Industrial for purchase of Thermal Imaging Cameras as authorized in Section 1 above, pursuant
to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to transfer
the amount of $20,655.00 from Commission Contingency to Fire Hose/Rescue Equipment
Account to cover the cost of three cameras.

SECTION 4. This expenditure shall be charged to Fire Hose/Rescue Equipment
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
