ORDINANCE NO. 2006-10-7193
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF
SMOKE DETECTORS TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT
TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Cole Electric Supply, Inc., in
the total amount of $29,996.80, for smoke detectors with 10 year lithium battery to be distributed
by the Paducah Fire Department to low-income families, said bid being in substantial compliance
with bid specifications, and as contained in the bids of Cole Electric Supply, Inc., of September
29, 2006.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Cole
Electric Supply, Inc., for the purchase of smoke detectors, authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. These purchases shall be charged to Fire Department —
Services/Other account (F10011).
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
cleffective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
