AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ATLAS ROOFING FOR
REPLACEMENT OF THE ROOF FOR THE COLUMBIA & ARCADE THEATERS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
C'+ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Atlas Roofing, in an
amount not to exceed $228,000 for replacement of the roof for the Columbia & Arcade Theaters,
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as
contained in the bid of Atlas Roofing, of September 8, 2006.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
contract with Atlas Roofing for replacement of the roof for the Columbia & Arcade Theaters, as
authorized in Section 1 above, pursuant to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Project No. DT0013.
SECTION 4. Due to the deteriorated condition of the roof and in order to
complete the replacement of the roof before inclement weather begins, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
