HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-8-7164C" C I ORDINANCE NO. 2006-8-7164 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID FOR UNIFORM RENTAL AND CLEANING FOR EMPLOYEES IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS, FOR PROVIDING MISCELLANEOUS CLEANING SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Aramark Uniform Services in an amount not to exceed $54,836.08 for furnishing the City with uniforms for employees in the various departments, and for providing miscellaneous cleaning services, said purchase being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Aramark Uniform Services of June 12, 2006. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Aramark for furnishing the City with uniforms and services as authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. The term of this contract shall be for two (2) years with two, two-year optional extensions upon the agreement of both parties. SECTION 3. Payment for said uniforms and cleaning services shall be charged to account numbers of the departments using such services. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
