ORDINANCE NO. 2006-12-7222
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 106-80 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 106-80 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 106-80. Secrecy of returns.
The information in returns filed by persons subject to license taxes under
this article shall be confidential as respecting the business of any such person and shall be
made available only to officers and employees of the city whose official duties require the
use of such information, and, on a confidential basis, to the Kentucky Commissioner of
Revenue and McCracken County, and their
employees who are responsible for verifying information which has been reported to
and retained by the City in reciprocation for access to the confidential files under their
supervision. Any person divulging such information, exception an order of a court of
competent jurisdiction, shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalty provided in
section 106-82. The city may publish statistics based on information in such returns in
such a manner as not to reveal data respecting the business of any particular person.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon title and a certified summary thereof.
