ORDINANCE NO. 2007-2-7251
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT (HUD), FOR A GRANT AWARD FOR RIVERFRONT
REDEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a United States Department of
Housing and Urban Development Neighborhood Initiative Grant Award for Riverfront
Redevelopment adopted by Municipal Order No. 1249 on December 12, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) has approved the application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD), in the amount of $2,970,000 for a Neighborhood Initiative Grant
Award for the redevelopment of Paducah's riverfront. This grant award does not require any
local cash or in-kind match.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the HUD Riverfront Grant
Project Account DT0015.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
