AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PORTION OF THE GREENWAY TRAIL
WHEREAS, the City received a Federal Transportation Grant in the amount of
$500,000 to be matched with $140,000 from the Boyles Estate bequest to provide a portion of the
Greenway Trail along the floodwall form the Expo Center to U.S. 45; and
WHEREAS, the City has a need for engineering services necessary for the design
of the construction of the Greenway Trail; and
WHEREAS, Brandstetter Carroll Inc., in association with Civil Design Group,
Inc. has in its employ persons experienced in this area of expertise.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute an
agreement between the City of Paducah and Brandstetter Carroll, Inc. in association with Civil
Design Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $54,400.00 for professional engineering and
design services for the construction of a portion of the Greenway Trail from the Expo Center to
U.S. 45.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project Account PA0056.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
