ORDINANCE NO. 2007-1-7229
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, OF THE
CODE -OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-142, "Time and Notice of Meetings," of Chapter 2,
"Administration," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"SECTION 2-142 — TIME AND NOTICE OF MEETINGS
(a) The regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners shall be held at City Hall,
unless otherwise noticed, and shall commence at 6.:00 p.m. on the secend-andfour'�ays, and
5:00 p.m. o the first and third Tues a,< 5:30 p.m. on the first four Tuesdays of each month, except that,
when such a meeting falls on a legal holiday recognized by the city, the regular meeting will be held on
the following day at the same hour.
(b) Special or called meetings may be held upon the request of the mayor or three
members of the Board of Commissioners; in the call, the Mayor or Commissioners shall designate the
purpose, time and place of the special meeting with sufficient notice for the attendance of the Board
members and for compliance with KRS Ch. 61. At a special meeting, no business shall be considered
other than that set forth in the designation of purpose. The minutes of every meeting shall be signed
by the City Clerk and the officer presiding at the meeting.
(c) Any regular or special meeting maybe adjourned to a future time by motion
duly passed by the affirmative vote of three members of the Board of Commissioners and any
business may be transacted at an adjourned meeting which might properly come before the regular or
special meetings.
SECTION 2. If any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be
inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or validity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and
intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable
from all other sections, paragraph and provisions.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
