ORDINANCE NO. 2007-8-7316
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR
LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FOR A KENTUCKY BODY ARMOR GRANT
CI' WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky Body Armor Grant
Award adopted by Municipal Order No. 1293 on May 8, 2007, for body armor and duty weapons
for the Paducah Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Governor's Office for Local Development has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
Memorandum of Agreement with the Governor's Office for Local Development for a Kentucky
Body Armor Grant in the amount of $12,555.00 to purchase body armor and duty weapons for
sworn police officers. The City's required cash amount is $254.95.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the Services Other Account —
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
