ORDINANCE NO. 2007-8-7313
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH JJR, LLC. FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR THE TRANSIENT BOAT LANDING DOCK, RIVER -FRONT
DEVELOPMENT PHASE I PROJECT
WHEREAS, Municipal Order No. 1281 adopted the Paducah Riverfront
Redevelopment Plan dated March 2007 on April 10, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Plan included the construction of the excursion dock, the
transient boat landing dock, the boat ramp and various other improvements to the riverfront; and
WHEREAS, due to available funds and the City voting to not make any decisions
that would affect the riverfront vehicle route it is recommended by the Riverfront Development
Committee to proceed with the engineering design of the transient boat landing dock; and
WHEREAS, the City has a need for professional engineering services necessary
for the design and construction of the Transient Boat Landing Dock, Riverfront Development
Phase I Project; and
WHEREAS, JJR, LLC has in its employ persons in this area of expertise.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized and

directed to execute an agreement with JJR, LLC in an amount not to exceed $559,600.00 for
professional engineering services for the design of the Transient Boat Landing Dock, Riverfront
Development Phase I Project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the RF 2006 HUD Grant,
project account DT0015.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
