ORDINANCE NO. 2007-9-7337
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILKINS
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
PEDESTRIAN FOOTBRIDGE AS PART OF THE GREENWAY TRAIL AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Wilkins
Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $178,939.00, for construction of a
pedestrian footbridge as part of the greenway trail, said purchase being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid
of Wilkins Construction Company, Inc., of August 28, 2007.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Wilkins Construction Company, Inc., for construction of a pedestrian footbridge as
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to the Recreation Trail Grant
account, project number PA0057.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
