AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR A 2008 HIGHWAY SAFETY
PROGRAM GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2008 Highway Safety Program
Grant award adopted by Municipal Order No. 1298 on June 12, 2007, for equipment and traffic
enforcement activities; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for a
2008 Highway Safety Program Grant award in the amount of $52,000.00 for equipment and
traffic enforcement activities. This program will reimburse 100% of approved expenses and does
not require any local cash or in-kind match.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
