ORDINANCE NO. 2007-11-7353
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FOR A MICROENTERPRISE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and the McCracken County Fiscal Court jointly
applied for a Microenterprise Community Development Block Grant adopted by Municipal
Order No. 1248 on December 12, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Governor's Office for Local Development has
approved the application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Governor's Office for Local Development to
obtain a grant in the amount of $100,000.00 for a Microenterprise Community Development
Block Grant. No matching funds are required for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project CD0060.
SECTION 3. In order to meet the Governor's Office for Local Development
submission requirements, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
become effective immediately with one reading.
