ORDINANCE NO. 2007-11-7356
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2006-12-7218, ENTITLED,
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE
KENTUCKY HOUSING CORPORATION FOR A HOME PROGRAM HOMEOWNER
REHABILITATION GRANT FOR THE FOUNTAIN AVENUE REVITALIZATION AREA OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH"
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a HOME Program Homeowner
Rehabilitation Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 1203 on March 28, 2006, for assistance to
low -to -moderate income homeowners within the Fountain Avenue Revitalization area of the City
of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Housing Corporation has approved the application and
is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Housing Corporation to obtain
a HOME Program Homeowner Rehabilitation Matching Grant for the demolition and
reconstruction of houses for low -to -moderate income homeowners within the Fountain Avenue
Revitalization Area to obtain in the amount of $375,000 $376,500. The City will provide
matching funds in the amount of $50,000.00, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to project Account No. CD0047.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
