HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-6-7289ORDINANCE NO. 2007-6-7289 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH CROWDUS MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING SERVICES FOR EVENT SET-UP SERVICES FOR THE ROBERT CHERRY CIVIC CENTER, AND C1 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2006-7-7142, adopted by the City of Paducah on July 11, 2006, authorized the execution of a contract between the City of Paducah and Crowdus Maintenance and Cleaning Services. The term of this agreement was for a period of one (1) year, commencing June 1, 2006, and concluding June 30, 2007. WHEREAS, the bid specifications contained a provision providing for the renewal of said contract for three (3) additional one (1) year periods to follow immediately thereafter if such renewals are mutually agreed upon by the parties. WHEREAS, the City desires to exercise said option to renew for a period of one (1) year, ending June 30, 2008. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract renewal for a period of one (1) year with Crowdus Maintenance and Cleaning Services, in an amount not to exceed $34,000.00, for event set-up services for the Robert Cherry Civic Center, said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Crowdus Maintenance & Cleaning Services of May 19, 2006. account. SECTION 2. This purchase shall be charged through Civic Center Services/Other SECTION 3.
