AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID FOR INSTALLATION OF A
NEW HVAC SYSTEM AT THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CENTER, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of
CMI Heating & AC Inc., in the amount of $103,913.00 for installation of a new HVAC
unit at the Chamber of Commerce Center, said bids being in substantial compliance with
bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of CMI Heating & AC Inc., of April 6,
2007.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
CMI Heating & AC, Inc., for installation of a new HVAC unit according to all contract
documents heretofore approved.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to project account
SECTION 4. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends the
requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds therefore, the
City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist because it is necessary to order

equipment immediately for installation of the HVAC system prior to the summer heat.
--` SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading of
this Ordinance.
