AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, TRANSPORTATION
CABINET, DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR ACCEPTANCE OF MUNICIPAL AID FUNDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract between
the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet, Department of Governmental
Relations, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for acceptance of Municipal Aid Funds for
maintenance, reconstruction, or construction of city streets for fiscal year 2007-2008.
SECTION 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist in order to comply with
the Department of Governmental Relations deadline of June 15, 2007; therefore this ordinance
shall become effective immediately with one reading.
