AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ATLAS ROOFING FOR
DEMOLITION OF A CONDEMNED STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 310 BROADWAY IN
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Atlas Roofing in an
amount not to exceed $34,875.00 for demolition of a condemned structure at 310 Broadway in
the City of Paducah, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as
contained in the bid of Atlas Roofing of May 9, 2008.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Atlas Roofing for services as set out in Section 1 above, according to the specifications and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the Inspection Department
Demolition account.
SECTION 4. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends the
requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds therefore, the
City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist due to the current state of the
condemned property.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading of this
Ordinance.
