ORDINANCE NO. 2008-3-7403
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE FOR A 2008-2009 UNDERAGE DRINKING
.' ENFORCEMENT GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2008-2009 Underage Drinking
Enforcement Grant through the Kentucky State Police adopted by Municipal Order No. 1363 on
January 22, 2008, for educational and enforcement activities; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky State Police has approved the application and is now
ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky State Police for a 2008-2009
Underage Drinking Enforcement Grant award in the amount of $15,700.00 for advertising,
equipment purchases, and man-hours for the educational and enforcement components of
underage drinking enforcement. This program will reimburse 100% of approved expenses and
does not require any local cash or in-kind match.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
