AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
AND THE COUNTY OF MCCRACKEN, KENTUCKY, FOR A 2012 EDWARD
BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ACCOUNTABILITY GRANT THROUGH THE U. S.
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Interlocal
Agreement between the City of Paducah and the County of McCracken, Kentucky, for a
2012 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Accountability Grant through the U. S.
Department of Justice. The Interlocal Agreement is required to remain in partnership
with our local disparate jurisdiction even though the City of Paducah is the sole and
authorized individual allocation. The term of this Agreement shall be that of the JAG
Award, a two year period beginning July 1, 2012, and ending June 30, 2014, unless
terminated by either party.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
