ROLL CALL
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners
held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall at 7:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, March 5, 1991, Mayor Montgomery presided, and upon
call of the roll, the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery
(4). Commissioner Coleman was absent (1).
NOTICES OF CALLED MEETING
Commissioner Taylor offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Grumley, that the executed copies of the Notice
of Called Meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5,
1991, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll,
yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor
Montgomery (4).
ORDINANCES - INTRODUCTION
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR DOWNTOWN RIVERFRONT
DEVELOPMENT, DOWNTOWN SECTION
Commissioner Taylor offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of Commissioners
introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH FLORENCE &
HUTCHESON, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
DOWNTOWN RIVERFRONT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT". This ordinance
is summarized as follows: Authorizing the Mayor to enter
into a contract with Florence & Hutcheson, Inc. for
professional engineering services for the Downtown Riverfront
Redevelopment Project, Downtown Section.

Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board of Commissioners
introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH W. R. COLES AND
ASSOCIATES FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
DOWNTOWN RIVERFRONT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT". This ordinance
is summarized as follows: Authorizing the Mayor to enter
into a contract with W. R. Coles and Associates for
professional engineering services for the Downtown Riverfront
Redevelopment Project, Floodwall to Riverfront Section.

PURCHASE PROPERTY AT FIRST & BROADWAY
FOR PARKING LOT
.Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of Commissioners
introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMITH
DEVELOPMENT, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000.00 TO ACQUIRE
PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND STREETS AND
BROADWAY AND JEFFERSON IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH McCRACKEN
COUNTY, KENTUCKY". This ordinance is summarized as follows:
Authorizing the May and City Clerk to enter into a
contract with Smith Development, Inc. in the amount of $250,000.00
for the purchase of property located between First and Second
Streets and Broadway and Jefferson in the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
The Board held a Workshop.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
