HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/17/92239 ROLL CALL At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners and the McCracken County Fiscal Court held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 1992, Mayor Montgomery presided, and upon call of the roll by the City Clerk, the following answered to their names: Com- missioners Feezor, Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (5). McCracken County Fiscal Court: Commissioners Riley, McNeil, Orazine and Judge Hovekamp (4). This meeting was held to discuss ambulance service by Angel of Mercy Ambulance Service in the City of Paducah and McCracken County, and to obtain information for funding by both government and private enterprise. Judge Hovekamp and Mayor Montgomery made opening comments. / Jack York, President of Angel of Mercy Ambulance Service, offered his assistance in determining needs for ambulance service. Mr. York was requested by the City and County, and agreed to provide the following information on Angel of Mercy Ambulance Service: 1. To allow for an independent audit by the City and County 2. A breakdown of the proposed ambulance service budget for 1992 3. A complete assets list 4. The current operating budget for fiscal year ending March 31, 1992. 5. Record for number of volunteer hours Upon questioning, Mr. York stated that the ambulance company has provided matching funds for funds obtained through SB 66 grants. Equipment obtained through these grants is registered in the County's name. Mr. York asked the City and County each to provide an annual subsidy of $100,000.00, for a total of $200,000.00. He also requested an annual review of the ambulance service operation by the City and County. AUDIT (MOTION) Commissioner McNeil offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the City and County retain the accounting firm of Allen, Rundle and Golighty, PSC, to perform ✓ an independent audit of Angel of Mercy Ambulance Service, to be completed by March 1, 1992. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the above motion.be amended for the audit date to be negotiated and determined by the County Judge and the Mayor, after consultation with the accounting firm of Allen, Rundle and Golightly. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Feezor, Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (5). Fiscal Court: Yeas, Commissioners Riley, McNeil, Orazine and Judge Hovekamp (4).
