At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commission Chambers at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August
7, 1992, Mayor Montgomery presided, and upon call of the roll
by the City Manager, the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Feezor, Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor
Montgomery (5). Note: City Clerk Lenita Smith was attending
the City Clerks' Institute in Owensboro and was not present
this meeting. Tammy Brock was in attendance.
NOTICES OF CALLED MEETING
\ Commissioner Taylor offered motion, seconded by Commissioner
Grumley, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 7, 1992, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Feezor, Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor
Montgomery (5).
REMOVE ORDINANCE FROM TABLE
Commissioner Feezor offered motion, seconded by Commissioner
Grumley, that the proposed ordinance regarding renaming Clay
Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, which proposed
ordinance was heretofore tabled by recent action of the City
Commission, be brought once again to the attention of the City
Commission for a second reading. Adopted on call of the roll,
yeas, Commissioners Feezor, Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor
Montgomery (5).
ORDINANCE - ADOPTION
RENAME PORTION OF CLAY STREET MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner
Taylor, that the Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance
entitled, "AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF CLAY
STREET TO MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE". This ordinance was
read in full. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners
Feezor, Grumley, Hornsby, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
