AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE
NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS FOR AN ARTS ENGAGEMENT IN
AMERICAN COMMUNITIES PROGRAM AWARD FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A
BRANDED WAY -FINDING SIGNAGE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied to the National Endowment for the Arts
by Municipal Order No. 1899 on April 5, 2016, for an Arts Engagement in American
Communities Program grant for installation of branded way -finding signage for Paducah's
downtown and Lower Town; and
WHEREAS, the National Endowment for the Arts has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby approves a Grant Agreement with
the National Endowment for the Arts to obtain an Arts Engagement in American Communities
Program award in the amount of $10,000 for the installation of branded way -finding signage for
Paducah's downtown and Lower Town Arts District.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement and
all documents related to the grant approved in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. The local cash match of $10,000 is hereby approved and authorized
for expenditure from project account MR0056, account number 040-4411-592-2307
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
