ROLL CALL
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, held at 11:00
a.m., Friday, July 5, 1996, in the Mayor's Office at City Hall,
Mayor Jones presided, and upon call of the roll by the City
Clerk, the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Grumley, Hornsby, Renfro and Mayor Jones (4). Commissioner
Coleman was absent (1).
NOTICES OF CALLED MEETING
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner
Hornsby, that the copies of Notice of Called Meeting of the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah for 11:00 a.m.,
Friday, July 5, 1996, be received and filed. Adopted on call of
the roll, yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Hornsby, Renfro and Mayor
Jones (4).
ORDINANCE - EMERGENCY
CIVIL SERVICE SALARY INCREASES & ADJUSTMENTS _90 -NO 10LEr
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner
Grumley, that the Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an
ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SALARIES OF CIVIL
SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY". This
ordinance is summarized as follows: Amending civil service
salaries of employees of the City of Paducah effective July 1,
1996, and making the following changes:
Renaming the Planning & Building Department as the Depart-
ment of Inspection and abolishing the Community Development/Housing
and Grants Management Department; reclassifying the position of
Chief Building Inspector to Director of Inspection/Chief Building
Inspector and increasing salary to Grade 25; increasing City Clerk
salary to Grade 17. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Grumley, Hornsby, Renfro and Mayor Jones (4).
