LLC have previously been a party to a prior lease dated March 11, 2002, concerning the premises herein �r described, which prior lease has now expired; and WHEREAS, the City and Jim Smith Contracting desire to enter a new lease of the premises described herein. KENTUCKY: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes and approves the City of Paducah to enter into a Lease Agreement with Jim Smith Contracting, LLC for the use of a tract of land that accommodates the Farmer's Market pavilion, the downtown restrooms and serves as a parking lot for many downtown activities. SECTION 2. The tract of land referred to in Section 1 above is more particularly described as follows: That certain parcel of land being all of Block 1, Addition "D" to the City of Paducah, which is bounded on the North by the presently existing Floodwall, on the South by Second Street, on the East by Jefferson Street, and on the West by Monroe Street, if extended; and, That certain parcel of land being all of Block 2, Addition "D" to the City of Paducah which is bounded on the North by the presently existing Floodwall, on the south by Second Street, on the East by Monroe Street, if extended, and on the West by Madison Street. Being part of the same property conveyed to Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc. by Smith Development, Inc. by deed dated February 28, 1996, and recorded in Deed Book 846, page 619, McCracken County Courthouse. SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said lease authorized and approved in Section 1 above. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
