AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT
AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY
LEAGUE OF CITIES FOR A 2012 MATCHING SAFETY GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky League of Cities 2012
matching Safety Grant Award adopted by Municipal Order No. 1642 on January 10, 2012, for the
purchase of 63 Vehicle Backup Warning Sensors for the Paducah Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky League of Cities has approved the application and is
now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Grant Agreement and
all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky League of Cities, for a 2012 matching Safety
Grant Award that will reimburse the City $5,150.00 for the purchase of 63 Vehicle Backup
Warning Sensors for the Paducah Police Department. The matching funds of $5,150.00 will be
provided through the Fleet Trust Fund.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the 2012 KLC Safety Grant
Award account.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
