RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SUPPORTING THE GREATER PADUCAH ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL'S REQUEST FOR FUNDING FROM THE KENTUCKY
TRANSPORTATION CABINET RELATING TO THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
NECESSARY ROADWAYS PROVIDING ACCESS FROM THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY
SYSTEM TO THE OHIO RIVER TRIPLE RAIL MEGASITE
WHEREAS, the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council is engaged in
the development of an intermodal industrial park, generally know as the Ohio River Triple Rail
Megasite (the "Project ") which will accommodate industry and create jobs in Paducah and
McCracken County, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, if the Project is successfully completed, conditions of unemployment
will be relieved and industry will be increased in Paducah and McCracken County; and
WHEREAS, the Project will enhance the economic position of the City of
Paducah by causing new residents and income to be injected into the local economy; improving
the quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, for the reasons above stated, desires to support
the request of the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council for funding from the
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for purposes of the design and construction of necessary
roadways providing access from the Federal highway system to the Ohio River Triple Rail
Megasite, and it is appropriate that this Resolution be adopted in order to evidence such support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ACTING BY AND THROUGH ITS BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that the statements of
fact set forth in the preamble to this Resolution are true and accurate in all respects, and the
preamble and all of the recitals therein are incorporated in this Resolution by reference, as if set
forth verbatim herein.
Section 2. The City of Paducah hereby supports the request of the Greater
Paducah Economic Development Council for funding from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
for the design and construction of necessary roadways providing access from the Federal
highway system to the Ohio River Triple Rail Megasite.
Section 3. The adoption of this Resolution shall not be deemed to and shall
not impose any liability or responsibility, financial or otherwise, upon the City of Paducah.

Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.

Mayor and now in full force and effect, all as appears from the official records of the City of
Paducah in my possession and under my control.
