AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO MAKE PAYMENT TO THE LONDON KENTUCKY POLICE
DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF NINE (9) L3 MOBILE VISION
FLASHBACK 2 DIGITAL VIDEO SYSTEMS TO BE USED BY THE PADUCAH
POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the London, Kentucky Police Department has offered for sale
nine (9) L3 Mobile Vision Flashback 2 Digital Video Systems at a reduced cost; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah's Police Department currently uses this
type of equipment and desires to purchase the digital video systems from the London,
Kentucky Police Department; and
WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager
that competitive negotiations are not necessary pursuant to the City of Paducah Code of
Ordinances Section 2-659 (8) and (13).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed
to make payment in the amount of $25,315 to the London, Kentucky Police Department
for the purchase of nine (9) L3 Mobile Vision Flashback 2 Digital Video Systems to be
used by the Paducah Police Department.
SECTION 2. Funding for this expenditure shall be charged to the
Electronic/Surveillance and JAG accounts.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
