AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF RECYCLE
CONTAINERS FOR THE VOLUNTEER OPERATED RECYCLING DROP -OFF CENTER
LOCATED AT 1830 NORTH 8 STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2011 -2012 Kentucky Recycling
Grant award adopted by Municipal Order No. 1594 on March 8, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City adopted Ordinance No. 2011 -6 -7820 accepting the grant
award from the Kentucky Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet, Division of Waste
Management in the amount of $41,605 for the purchase of recycle containers; and
WHEREAS, the recycle containers are available under State Contract No. RFB
758 1000000308 and competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
pay the amount of $38,934 to Pro Trainer for the purchase of recycle bins to be used at the
volunteer operated recycling drop -off center located at 1830 North 8 Street.
SECTION 2. Funds shall be expended from Project Account MR -0049.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
