AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH ACCEPTING A 2011/2012
LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE FEE GRANT AWARD FOR DUI ENFORCEMENT BY
THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY CABINET
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Law Enforcement Service Fee
Grant Award adopted by Municipal Order No. 1585 on February 15, 2011, for DUI enforcement;
and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts grant funds in the amount
of $15,833 through the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet for a 2011/2012 Law.
Enforcement Service Fee Award to be used by the Paducah Police Department for DUI
Enforcement. This award requires a 25% local cash match of $2,400 which is appropriated in
the Police Department's FY2012 budget.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Grant Agreement
and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet to obtain
a grant in the amount of $15,833 for DUI Enforcement.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Project Account PO0061 and
Police Department Digital In -Car Cameras Account No. 001-1602-521-4215.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
