THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE AND PROGRAMMING OF PORTABLE RADIOS FOR
THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager that it
has become necessary to replace antiquated portable radios for the operation of the Paducah
Police Department, and due to the necessity to match the department's and E911 Central
Dispatch's current equipment, this is a sole source purchase pursuant to Sec. 2-659 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
make payment to Motorola Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $21,600.00, for purchase and
programming of fifteen portable radios for the Paducah Police Department.
SECTION 2. This expenditure will be charged to the Police Department's
Equipment/Communications account.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
