HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-4-7804ORDINANCE 2011-4-7804 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH PADUCAH FORD, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES FOR THE 2011 FISCAL YEAR FLEET PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 INCREASING THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2010-12-7771 to enter into a contract with Paducah Ford, Inc., in the amount of $384,525.00 for the purchase of various vehicles for use by various departments in accordance with the approved 2011 Fiscal Year Fleet Plan; and WHEREAS, one vehicle to be purchased was a 2011 F 150 full size four-wheel drive pickup truck for use by the Parks Department; and WHEREAS, a 2005 3/4 ton pickup truck that was planned to be transferred from the Fire Department to the Floodwall Division will now be transferred to the Parks Department; and WHEREAS, a police cruiser was recently totaled in an accident resulting in the need to purchase a new police vehicle; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required to deduct a 2011 F 150 full size four- wheel drive pickup truck in the amount of $19,730.00 from the contract, and to add a 2011 Crown Victoria Police Vehicle in the amount of $22,969.00 from the contract, thereby increasing the total contract amount to $387,764.00. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby approves the removal of a 2011 F150 full size four-wheel drive pickup truck and the addition of a 2011 Crown Victoria Police Vehicle from the original contract with Paducah Ford, Inc., to be purchased as part of the 2011 Fiscal Year Fleet Plan. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 for an increase in the amount of $3,239.00 with Paducah Ford, Inc., for the purchase of vehicles for the 2011 Fiscal Year Fleet Plan, thereby increasing the total contract amount to $387,764.00. SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to the Rolling StockNehicles Fleet Lease Trust Fund. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: L� Tammara S.
