AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF RECYCLING BINS
FOR JACKSON PURCHASE RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT
FOUNDATION, GREATER PADUCAH SUSTAINABILITY, AND RECYCLE NOW TO BE
USED AT THE RECYCLING CENTER LOCATED AT 1830 NORTH 8TH STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky Department for Local
Government Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant award adopted by Municipal
Order No. 1501 on December 8, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City adopted Ordinance No. 2010-9-7728 accepting the grant
award from the Kentucky Department for Local Government in the amount of $50,000 for the
purchase of recycle bins; and
WHEREAS, the recycling bins are available under State Contract No. RFB 758
1000000937 and competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
pay an amount not to exceed $50,000 to Pro-tainer for the purchase of recycling bins to be used
at the recycling center located at 1830 North 8th Street.
SECTION 2. Funds shall be expended from Project Account MR -0044.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
