HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-3-7794ORDINANCE NO. 2011-3-7794 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY INTENT TO ANNEX CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the present city limits, located at 2540 U.S. Highway 45, a/k/a Lone Oak Road, is urban in character and is currently commercially developed; and WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and annexation has been requested by the property owner for the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to annex the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and be made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky said real property being more particularly and accurately described as follows: Being a parcel of land in Lone Oak, McCracken County Kentucky, lying along U.S. Highway 45 a.k.a. Lone Oak Road, being the Gasanda, Inc. property as recorded in Deed Book 1141 page 129 and as Tract A recorded in Plat Book L page 1820 and being more particularly bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point in the eastern city limits line of the City of Paducah, 154.69 feet from the intersection of the south right-of-way line of Bleich Road and the east right of way line of U.S. Highway 45, said beginning point being a rebar in the easterly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 45 and the northwestern corner to the C -Plant Credit Union as recorded in deed book 883 page 89; thence from the point of beginning South 60 degrees 54 minutes 13 seconds East a distance of 117.13 feet to a concrete monument; thence South 58 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds East a distance of 33.51 feet to a concrete monument; thence South 31 degrees 18 minutes 55 seconds West a distance of 74.19 feet to a rebar with cap marked "CDG INC., P.L.S. 3219" set this survey; thence South 58 degrees 41 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 78.60 feet to a rebar with cap marked "CDG INC., P.L.S. 3219" set this survey; thence South 04 degrees 53 minutes 28 seconds West a distance of 206.51 feet to a rebar with cap marked "HHM & A"; thence North 58 degrees 02 minutes 56 seconds West a distance of 358.94 feet to an existing rebar in the easterly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 45, said right of way line also being the eastern city limits line of the City of Paducah; thence along and with said right-of-way line and eastern city limits line North 39 degrees 54 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 253.46 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.514 acres, more or less. As surveyed by Civil Design Group, Inc. on February 15, 2006, A. Clay Robinson P.L.S. 3219 for Cardinal Point Properties, Inc. There is encumbered on this tract of land, a 10 foot gas line easement as recorded in deed book 868 page 756 and deed book 868 page 758 and deed book 76 page 596. SECTION 2.
