HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-11-7758ORDINANCE NO. 2010-11-7758 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A REIMBURSABLE GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO ~� WITH THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR A PADUCAH BOMB SQUAD CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky Office of Homeland Security Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 1549 on May 25, 2010, for purchase of a robot, x-ray unit, and night vision goggles to be used by the Paducah Bomb Squad; and WHEREAS, the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security has approved the application and is now ready to award this grant. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Reimbursable Grant Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security for a grant in the amount of $170,000 for the Paducah Bomb Squad Capacity Enhancement Project. The grant does not require any cash or in-kind match. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project Account No. P00059. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. a Mayor ATTEST: Tammara S.
