AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF NORTH AMERICAN SALT
COMPANY, A COMPASS MINERALS COMPANY, FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS
REQUIREMENT OF BULK ICE CONTROL ROCK SALT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City accepts the bid of North American Salt Company, A
Compass Minerals Company, for sale to the City of its requirement of bulk ice control rock salt
for use on city thoroughfares, for the remainder of the City's 2010-2011 Fiscal Year, with the
option to renew for one year, ending June 30, 2012. Said bid is in substantial compliance with
the bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of North American Salt Company, A Compass
Minerals Company, of September 21, 2010, for the following prices:

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with North
American Salt Company, A Compass Minerals Company, for sale to the City of the material
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid of September 21, 2010.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. 001-2202-531-3922.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
