HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-9-7739ORDINANCE NO. 2010-9-7739 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A REIMBURSABLE GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR A 2010 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ACCOUNTABILITY GRANT AWARD TO BE USED BY THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, by Municipal Order No. 1548, the City of Paducah applied for a 2010 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Accountability Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice to be used by the Paducah Police for the purchase of in -car cameras and tasers; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has approved the application and is now ready to award this grant. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a reimbursable grant agreement and all documents relating thereto with the U.S. Department of Justice for a 2010 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Accountability Grant Award in the amount of $32,586.00 for the purchase of in -car cameras and tasers. No local cash match is required. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
