AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
REIMBURSABLE GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY, A DIVISION OF THE
KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET, FOR A 2010/2011 KENTUCKY
GOVERNOR'S HIGHWAY SAFETY PROGRAM GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2010/2011 Kentucky Governor's
Highway Safety Program grant by Municipal Order No. 1542 on May 11, 2010, for
approximately 1200 hours of traffic enforcement salaries and overtime, fuel, laser instructor and
training, as well as the cost to attend state sponsored conferences and meetings; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a reimbursable Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, a
division of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, for a 2010/2011 Kentucky Governor's
Highway Safety Program Grant Award in the amount of $44,627.00 for approximately 1200
hours of traffic enforcement salaries and overtime, fuel, laser instructor and training, as well as
the cost to attend state sponsored conferences and meetings. This program will reimburse 100%
of approved expenses and does not require any local cash or in-kind match.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to PO0056 Account.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
