AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CITY OF PADUCAH TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT PERTAINING TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM MICROENTERPRISE FUNDS
WHEREAS, THE City of Paducah and the McCracken County Fiscal Court
applied for and received a Microenterprise Community Development Block Grant adopted by
Municipal Order No. 1248 on December 2006 (hereinafter the "Grant");
WHEREAS, on November 13, 2007, by Ordinance 2007-11-7353 the City of
Paducah authorized and directed the Mayor to execute any and all documents relating thereto
with the Kentucky Governor's Office for Local Development to obtain the Grant;
WHEREAS, since that time, the Mayor has executed all related, necessary
documents including a Grant Amendment Agreement dated December 7, 2007 which
substituted the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce for Murray State University as party to
the Grant Agreement;
WHEREAS, in connection with the Grant, the City of Paducah has now been
asked to execute a related document which includes the Paducah Area Chamber of
Commerce, the Murray Chamber of Commerce, the Mayfield Chamber of Commerce, and
the McCracken County Career Community Career Endowment as parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City of Paducah,
Kentucky:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Paducah, Kentucky is hereby
authorized and directed to execute a the Agreement with the Paducah Area Chamber of
Commerce, the Murray Chamber of Commerce, the Mayfield Chamber of Commerce, and
the McCracken County Career Community Career Endowment.
Section 2. The Mayor of Paducah's previous execution of the
aforementioned agreements is hereby ratified, approved, and affirmed.
