AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH REQUESTING AN EXTENSION
DATE OF THE EXISTING TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE
KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR THE RIVER HERITAGE MUSEUM PHASE II
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A REVISED
AGREEMENT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah approved Ordinance No. 2005-4-6963 to enter into an
agreement with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for a Transportation Enhancement Grant Award in
the amount of $878,850 for the River Heritage Museum Phase H Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the original scope of work is completed; however, a small amount of funds
remain. Approval was obtained from the Transportation Cabinet to extend the original award's
agreement date so that the major portion of the remaining funds can be spent on a Steamboat Pilot House
Exhibit Project; and
WHEREAS, the City now requests the Transportation Cabinet to extend the original
award's end date to August 31, 2-04-0.2011. 6
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby requests an extension date of the existing
Transportation Enhancement Agreement with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for the River
Heritage Museum Phase H Improvement Project and authorizes the May to execute a revised agreement

for same. An extension of the agreement end date of August 31, 2FT(, will allow for the completion of
the Steamboat Pilot House Exhibit Project.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
