AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SWIFT & STALEY
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO NEW EMERGENCY
GENERATORS TO BE INSTALLED AT THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING AND THE
- E-911 BUILDING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Swift & Staley
Electrical Contractors Inc., in the amount of $142,675, for the purchase of two new emergency
generators to be installed at the Public Works Building and the E-911 Building, said bid being in
substantial compliance with bid specifications, and advertisement for bids, as contained in the
bid of Swift & Staley Electrical Contractors Inc., of June 24, 2010.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the
purchase of the emergency generators, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to PF0066 Project Account.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
