SEPTEMBER 1, 1998
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, held in the Commission Chambers
at City Hall at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 1998, Mayor Jones presided, and upon
call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Grumley,
Renfro, Smith and Mayor Jones (5).
Ff, APPOINTMENTS
PJC BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that a
Municipal Order entitled, "A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPOINTING SYLVIA V.
MATHIS TO FILL THE VACANCY CREATED BY THE DEATH OF H.C. MATHIS, V/
JR., AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION OF A
MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted.
Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Renfro, Smith and

PADUCAH PUBLIC LIBRARY
Mayor Jones made the following appointment: "WHEREAS, subject to the approval of
the Board of Commissioners, I hereby appoint Tanya Arlene Jones to the Paducah Public
Library Board of Trustees to fill the unexpired term of Demethera Taylor, who has
resigned. This term will expire June 14, 2000." V-1
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
Board of Trustees approve the action of Mayor Jones in appointing Tanya Arlene Jones as
a member of the Paducah Public Library Board of Trustees. Adopted on call of the roll,
�,n yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Renfro, Smith and Mayor Jones (5).
EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS BOARD (E911)
Mayor Jones made the following appointment: "WHEREAS, subject to the approval of
the Board of Commissioners, I hereby appoint Gerald Stewart as a member of the
Paducah -McCracken County Emergency Communication Service Board to replace Joseph
Ray Wright, whose term has expired. This term will expire July 15, 1999."
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the
Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Jones in appointing Gerald Stewart
as a member of the Paducah -McCracken County Emergency Communications Service
Board. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Gru -dey, Renfro,
Smith and Mayor Jones (5).
The Board held a Workshop.
Upon motion the meeting adjoiirned.
