AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDERS 1 & 2 WITH M.P. LAWSON CONSTRUCTION, LLC
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE PAVILION PROJECT PHASE II
1 WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2010-2-7653 to enter into a
contract with M. P. Lawson Construction LLC, in the amount of $694,396.00 for
construction of the Pavilion Project Phase II; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required for an increase in the amount of
$14,844.61 for a series of credits, deletions and additional work provided to install the
pavilion to appropriate codes and requested upgrades for improved operations, and Change
Order No. 2 is required for a decrease in the amount of $179,539.57, for the City to directly
purchase electrical and concrete materials from the suppliers for the contractor, therefore,
after the two change orders the adjusted contract prices will be $529,539.57.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Orders 1 & 2 in the combined amount of $164,694,96 for the City of Paducah's Pavilion
Project Phase II, increasing the total contract price to $529,539.57.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
