AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF MOBILE DATA
COMPUTERS FOR USE IN THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State Contract No. MA 758
1000000242 2 and competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
make payment to Prosys in the amount of $45,078.00, for purchase of eleven mobile data
computers for the Paducah Fire Department.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Prosys
for the purchase of 11 mobile data terminals authorized in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure will be paid using funds received from a
Homeland Security Grant and funds earmarked through the last budget cycle and shall be
charged to MDC Expansion Project, FI0021 account.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
