ORDINANCE NO. 78-3-1538
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A STREET LOCATED
IN THE ROBIN HILL SUBDIVISION, SOUTHEAST OF OLD MAYFIELD ROAD AND NORTH
OF THE P & I RAILROAD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of a street located in the Robin Hill Subdivision, southeast of Old Mayfield Road and
north of the P & I Railroad, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the south right-of-way line
of Old Mayfield" Abad aiid the east right-of-way line of- Cornell
Street; thence in a southerly direction along the east right-of-
way .line of Cornell 'Street" 151:04 feet to a point "irithe north
right-of-way line of Markham Avenue; thence in an easterly
- direction with the north right-of-way line of Markham Avenue
108.8 feet to a point in the east boundary of Robin Hill Sub-
division; thence n' a 7southerly direction along said boundary
to a point in the south right-of-way line of Markham Avenue;
thence in a westerly direction with "said south right-of-way
line of Markham Avenue a distance of 103.25 feet to a point;
thence in a westerly direction 13 feet to a point in the east
right of way line of Cornell Street; thence in a southerly
direction along said 'east right-of-way line of Cornell Street
a distance of 187.6 feet to a point; thence in a westerly
direction, projected across Cornell Street, a distance of
54.45 feet to a point in the west right-of-way line of Cornell
Street; thence in a northerly direction with the west right-of-
way line of Cornell Street a distance of 330.53 feet to a point;
thence in a -northwesterly direction a distance- of 20 feet to
the south right-of-way line of Old Mayfield Road; thence in an
easterly direction along said south- right=of-way line of Old
Mayfield Road a distance of 76.94 feet to the point of beginning.
The above description includes all rights-of-way originally
'dedicated in Robin Hill Subdivision for Markham Avenue and
Cornell Street, and is recorded in Plat Book "D", Page 92 in
the McCracken County Court Clerk' st Office.
SECTION 2 : That the -Corporation Counsel of the City -of Paducah, Kentucky
be, and he is hereby, authorized;' 'empowered and directed to- institute and prosecute
pursuant to - KRS 94.3-60, an' action in the McCracken Circuit Court for ' a judgment
ordering the closing of the street described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
