HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-2-1532742 ORDINANCE NO. 78-2-1532 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JAMES MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE STREET SWEEPER TO BE USED BY THE STREET DEPARTMENT, FOR THE SUM OF THIRTY THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY- FIVE DOLLARS, ($30,235.00), AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of James Municipal Equipment Company for sale to the City of one street sweeper to be used by the Street Department, for the sum of Thirty Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-five dollars ($30,235.00), said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Com- missioners on December 27, 1977, and as contained in the bid of James Municipal Equipment Company dated January 11, 1978. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with James Municipal Equipment for sale to the City of the equip- ment authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3414. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
