A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
COMMERCE, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION, AN OFFER OF GRANT IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00) FOR CONSTRUCTION
BY THE PADUCAH WATER WORKS OF WATER TRANSMISSION MAINS AND A WATER
STORAGE TANK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby accept the
offer of grant of the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development
Administration, in an amount not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) for
construction by Paducah Water Works of water transmission mains and a water
storage tank.
SECTION 2. That all documents previously executed by Mayor William S.
Murphy in connection with the aforesaid grant are hereby ratified and approved and
Mayor William S. Murphy is hereby further given, by the adoption of this resolution,
continuing authority to execute all other necessary documents as may be required
by United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, in
connection with the aforesaid construction project.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
and after the date of its adoption.
